Pierre Boulez dirige Mémoriale
In this film, Pierre Boulez conducts his work "Mémoriale" (written 1985, dedicated to Lawrence Beauregard, a flutist of Ensemble Intercontemporain who died the same year).
In this video installation, artist Robert Cahen wants to make the gestures of this great conductor visible. Standing, in life size, Pierre Boulez appears in front of the Visitor.
Alone, without the instrumentalists of the Orchestra, we see Boulez and listen to his music-the sounds and gestures of the master.
"Le Maître du temps", the master of time, an impressive hommage both to the composer and conductor.
